Ba Be Lake & Halong Bay Tour by First Choice Travel
Day 1: Arrival
Meet and transfer to your chosen hotel. Check in. Free to visit the town. Overnight in Hanoi
Day 2: Hanoi - Ba Be Lake (B,L,D)
With an early departure from Hanoi this morning we head north towards Ba Be Lake. This drive of 270 km, which will take approximately seven hours, takes us through the flatlands of the Red River Delta and up into the mountain areas north of Hanoi. As we progress north, the scenery becomes more and more picturesque. From our scheduled lunch stop it is only around two and a half-hours to our destination. Arriving in Ba Be town by mid afternoon we check in the host family Tay and then stroll around the village or a bit of exploration before sunset.
We spend the night in the traditional long house on stilts of Tay people.
Day 3: Full day in Ba Be Lake (B,L,D)
After breakfast at the host family we board on our private boat for a cruise on the Ba Be Lake. We can have a swim in crystal clear waters before having lunch in the local restaurant near the Water Fall Dau Dang. Following lunch we have the opportunity to work off our feast with a trek to Tay ethnic minority villages. A visit to this small hamlet will enable us to witness how little the lives of the people in these remote areas have changed.
We cruise further to Puong Cave and head back to Pac Ngoi village for overnight.
Day 4: Ba Be Lake - Hanoi (B,-,-)
After breakfast we bid farewell to our host and drive back to Hanoi capital. Overnight in Hanoi
Day 5: Hanoi- Halong bay (B, L, D)
Leave Hanoi by First Choice Travel’s van at 8:30am arriving at the jetty around 12:30pm. Our crew welcomes you on board , enjoy welcome drink, check-in to your cabin. Lunch with fresh seafood is served at 1:00pm, start a 3.5 hours cruise into mystical Halong Bay to see the amazing karsts with different formations: Mat Qui (Monster’s face) islet, But Moc islet, Cap De islet, Trong (Drum) cave, Trinh Nu cave, floating fishing village, with its unique way of life. Then head to Luon cave, enjoy swimming, sun bathing at Ti Top beach or climb the peak of the mountain for a breath-taking panorama view of Halong bay. Dinner and overnight aboard junk
Day 6: Halong Discovery (B, L, D)
Early risers can enjoy a morning view of Bay’s landscape. Sitting on the upper deck, you can relax and take in the breath-taking beauty of the rocky islands rising from the crystal-clear water of the bay. Breakfast is at 8:00am. After breakfast, start cruising South to explore Lan Ha Bay, along the way seeing more of the fascinating Limestone formations like Trong (Drum) cave, Con Coc islet, Mieng Giuong islet, floating fishing village, Ba Trai Dao islet, to swim at the quiet beaches of Cat Ba National Park, BBQ lunch on the beach or on board. More time for swimming & relaxing. Then cruise back to visit Dark & Bright cave, and then cruise to the Drum cave area for sunset. Dinner & Overnight on board.
Day 7: Halong- Hanoi (B, L)
After breakfast explore Sung Sot cave (8:00 to 9:00), swim and relax at Soi Sim beach. At 9:30 boat starts cruising back to the jetty while brunch is served from 10:30 to 11:30. We continue cruising through the bay, along the way seeing more of the fascinating formations. Checkout is at 11:45. Boat arrives at harbor by 12:00 for the drive back to Hanoi.
Overnight in Hanoi
Day 8: Hanoi- departure (B)
Breakfast at your hotel. Free at your pleasure until transfer to the airport for a flight home.
